Kinone’s key words are: Foundation, As you are, Nature, Support, Love
Kinone is a small co-op community where children play deeply in nature, and adults and children grow together. Here, we would like to share our core values and the promises we keep to ensure a wonderful time spent together.
1. Three Things We Hold Dear- A place for open and honest connections: We let go of superficial relationships and social pretense, building a warm environment where we can casually say, 'I need a little help right now.'
- Dialogue and mutual respect: We respect each other's differences, backgrounds, and ways of thinking. When disagreements or troubles arise, we avoid jumping to conclusions and instead work through them together with a spirit of dialogue.
- A big, supportive family: Adults and children naturally reach out to help one another, creating a welcoming community where everyone can feel safe being their true selves.
2. What Makes Kinone Special- An environment that accepts you as you are: Rather than treating children as objects to be controlled, we respect each individual. We foster an environment where—like the roots of a tree—both adults and children are accepted as they are, planting their feet firmly in the ground.
- Learning through nature and real experience: Surrounded by rich nature and seasonal experiences, we gently embrace a child's spark of curiosity and physical sensations, following whatever they are passionate about in the moment.
- A community of passionate adults: Like-minded people who resonate with our educational philosophy and deeply care about children's growth gather here to enjoy and share experiences together.
To Families Considering Enrollment (Our Shared Commitment)Kinone is not a passive service, but a childcare co-op built collaboratively by families and volunteers. Therefore, we look forward to welcoming those who resonate with the following mindset:
- Those who view early childhood as a crucial foundation for human development.
- Those who wish to actively cooperate as part of a childcare co-op, rather than just passively receiving benefits. (Kinone is not suited for those looking for a standard daycare or lesson-style drop-off program).
- Those whose children do not attend another nursery school or kindergarten concurrently.
- Those who love spending time with nature and value that connection.
- Those who are open to self-reflection through parenting and daily learning, and who communicate honestly and sincerely.
Ensuring a Comfortable Space for Everyone (Guidelines)
To protect a safe and welcoming space where everyone can feel at ease, if any of the following situations occur, we may need to pause, talk together, and in some cases, ask the family to leave the community:
- Attacking or criticizing someone's mistakes or vulnerabilities.
- Being unable to engage in constructive, open-hearted dialogue when problems arise.
- Being unable to respect the shared space and time.
- Showing a lack of interest or engagement in Kinone's activities.
