Meals at Kinone Space
-
-
We believe that what children eat plays an important role in both physical and emotional well-being. Our meals are mostly plant-based, and everything—including desserts—is made from scratch.
Meals feature vegetables grown in Kinone’s garden, prepared simply to let natural flavors shine.
Kinder Class at Kinone Space
-
-
In Kinone’s Kinder Class, our focus is not on teaching reading and writing early.
Instead, we believe it is most important for children to play fully and freely with their whole bodies.
On this foundation, children learn to take on challenges together with their peers while being supported and gently guided by caring adults. Through these experiences, they grow both physically and emotionally.
We see this stage of childhood as a precious time to strengthen the roots of being human—the foundations of both body and heart.
Experiencing the feeling of “I can do it,” discovering who they are, and learning to trust their friends—we believe these experiences become the inner strength that supports children throughout their lives.

-
At Kinone Space, Japanese is the primary language used in our daily childcare program.
At the same time, we have some children who do not speak Japanese at home and who had little or no exposure to Japanese before enrolling.
Our caregivers are Japanese speakers, and activities such as songs, storytime, and special events are conducted in Japanese. Seasonal and special events are centered around traditional Japanese culture.
That said, our staff are generally able to communicate in English as well. Parent meetings are held in both Japanese and English, and volunteer interpreters may join when needed. Many of our families also speak English, and informal support naturally happens within the community.
At Kinone Space, we value creating a welcoming environment where language differences do not become a barrier, and where everyone can feel comfortable and included.
