映画『食べることは生きること ～アリス・ウォータースのおいしい革命～』食べ物は、本来、大地と太陽の恵みと農家さんはじめ多くの人の手が加わりそのプロセスを“いただく”ありがたいもの。日本人なら当たり前のように口にする“いただきます”という言葉には、そんな本質的な感覚が子供のころからの記憶によって刻み込まれているように思います。アリスさんが子供たちの食育に力を入れているように、子供のころから“食”の本質と豊かさに触れてもらえたらきっとこの世界はより良くなり地球環境が守られていくと信じ、この映画を多くの方々にお届けできたらこれほど嬉しいことはありません。

🍃この映画は、去る1月12日に、ポートランドのOHSUにアリスさんご本人が来られた上映会＆お話会にて上映されたものです。チケットは早々に売り切れ、イベントはパネルディスカッションも含めて大盛況を収めました。チケットが買えなかった方や、イベントをご存じなかった方も是非この機会をお見逃しなく！
”We are what we eat” "Food is a blessing from the earth and the sun, with many people, including farmers, contributing to the process. The act of 'itadakimasu' expresses gratitude for this. I believe that the essence of this sentiment has been ingrained in us since childhood through our memories. Just as Alice is focusing on children's food education, I believe that if children are exposed to the essence and richness of food from an early age, this world will surely become a better place and the global environment will be protected. I would be incredibly happy if this movie could be delivered to many people."

🍃 This movie was screened on January 12th at OHSU in Portland, where Alice herself attended for a screening and talk event. The tickets sold out quickly, and the event, including a panel discussion, was a great success. For those who couldn’t get tickets or didn’t know about the event, don’t miss this opportunity!
