Kinone Space: A Community Centered on Childcare & Preschool

きのねの保育は、「今の子どもたち」と「これからの子どもたちが生きていく世界」の両方を見据えています。
子どもを中心に、大人たちが協力して良いコミュニティを育み、その関係性が子どもたちへと自然に還っていく。そんな循環を大切にしています。
大人も子どもも、安心して自分らしく、心地よいペースで過ごせる場所であること。
人とのつながり、自然とのつながり、文化とのつながりの中で、一人ひとりが育っていく。地球にも、地域にも、隣人にも、そして自分自身にも、やさしくなれる場所。
きのねは、そんな場でありたいと考えています。
At Kinone Space, our preschool program looks toward both the children of today and the world they will grow into.
With children at the center, adults work together to nurture a strong, caring community. The relationships we build naturally give back to the children, creating a healthy, ongoing cycle of support.
We value being a place where both children and adults can feel safe, be themselves, and move at a comfortable, unhurried pace.
Through connections with people, nature, and culture, each child grows as an individual.

豊かな時間を過ごす場所

Meaningful Time for Children Ages 3–6

きのねでは、「できること」を増やすよりも、「自分のやりたいことがわかる子ども」を育てることを大切にしています。
自分のやりたいことを知ることは、これから先の長い人生を、たくましく生きていく力につながると私たちは考えています。
きのねの保育は、そんな「生きる力の根っこ」を育てることを目指しています。
子どもたちが、季節ごとに表情を変える豊かな自然の中で、五感を使い、全身でのびのびと遊べるように。
スタッフと保護者、そしてきのねに関わるすべての人がチームとなり、子どもたちを精一杯サポートしていきます。
At Kinone Space, we focus less on what children can do and more on helping them discover what they love to do.
When children understand their own interests and curiosity, they build confidence and inner strength that support them throughout life. That’s the foundation we care about.
Surrounded by nature, children are encouraged to play freely, explore with all their senses, and move their bodies in natural, joyful ways.
Staff, caregivers, and families work together as a team to support each child and celebrate who they are becoming.

In our daily activities, we value the following:

遊 Play

汚れを気にせず、自然の中で夢中になって遊ぶ時間を大切にしています。水や砂、土がおもちゃです。子どもたちの「やりたい」に耳を傾けながら、リズム遊びやお手伝い、お散歩を取り入れ、体と心の土台を育てていきます。
We value time for children to play freely and wholeheartedly in nature, without worrying about getting dirty. Water, sand, and soil become their toys. By following their interests, we weave in rhythm play, helping with daily tasks, and walks—building a strong foundation for body and mind.
意 Intention

保育者の温かな眼差しと安心感のある環境の中で、「やってみたい」という意欲を育みます。デジタル機器やキャラクター玩具、プラスチック製のものなどの使用を控え、落ち着いて過ごせる空間づくりを心がけています。
In a warm, supportive environment, caregivers nurture children’s natural desire to try new things. We intentionally limit overstimulating elements such as digital devices, character-themed toys, and plastic toys, creating a calm space where children can focus, imagine, and feel at ease.
仲 Community

自己が育つ時期である３〜４歳では、ぶつかり合いも大切な経験です。真似をしたり認め合ったりする中で、優しさや思いやりが育まれます。子ども同士だけでなく、大人どうしのつながりも大切にし、大家族のように見守ります。
Between ages 3 and 4, as a sense of self begins to grow, conflicts are a natural part of development. Through imitation and shared experiences, children learn kindness and empathy, supported by strong connections among children, adults, and families—like an extended family.
食 Food

たくさん体を動かしたあとの給食の時間は、子どもたちの大きな楽しみです。きのねの畑で採れた野菜や鶏が産んだ卵など、主にオーガニックの旬の食材を使用し、専属の給食担当が心と体を満たす温かい給食を作ります。
After a day full of movement and play, shared mealtimes are a highlight for the children. Our dedicated kitchen staff prepares warm, nourishing meals using mostly organic, seasonal vegetables, eggs from Kinone’s chickens, and produce grown in our own garden—food that supports both body and heart.
話 Stories

厳選された日本語の絵本や紙芝居、日本の昔話などの読み聞かせの時間は、子どもたちが大好きな時間です。幼児期に良質な物語に触れ、想像力をふくらませる経験は、大人になってからも一生の宝物となります。
Storytime with carefully selected Japanese picture books, kamishibai (paper storytelling), and traditional folktales is everyone’s favorite part of the day. Listening to rich stories during early childhood and letting imagination grow becomes a lifelong treasure that children carry with them into adulthood.
学 Learning

子育ては、子どもを育てながら大人自身も向き合い、学び続ける営みです。私たち大人のあり方や言葉、暮らし方が子どもに大きく影響するからこそ、大人同士の学びあいや支えあいを大切にし、定期的に学びの場を設けています。
Parenting is a shared journey where adults grow and learn alongside children. Because the way we live, speak, and relate deeply influences children, we place great value on supporting one another as adults and regularly create opportunities for shared learning within our community.
